Treating the Youth Athlete – Course 2

This course is designed to provide the Chiropractor with an introduction to the treatment of youth athletes. The course reviews: Injury statistics for youth athletes, summary of back injuries, prevention strategies, components of a pre-season exam, clinical consideration for sports participation, sleep issues, sleep strategies, nutritional needs of youth athletes, protein needs for training, carbohydrates for training, nutrition goals and eating strategies, hydration, sweat rate, antioxidants, supplements, recent research considerations. The objective of this course is to educate the clinician on these topics. The course is provided in a video slideshow format, and contains interactive quizzes.
